Our Leader

  • Dr. Michael J. Allen, is a compassionate, charitable, and caring leader. His passion is serving people.  Raising to the challenge of helping people has been his gateway to success.  He has a deep belief in Luke 6:38:  "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal, it shall be measured to you again."  (King James Version).  In other words, what Jesus was teaching was that as you give, God will bless you also with more than you gave.   He believes that God has given each of us a season. We have a sunrise (the day of our birth) and sunset (the day of our death); what we do in between should make a difference.  His mantra is, “I Live to Give! I Give to Live!”

Compassionate

Compassion doesn’t follow a give-and-take approach. Instead, it has an added component of altruism in it as the person showing compassion rarely expects to receive the same or does so to get something in return.  In all its essence, compassion is “empathy in action." Altruism: the belief in or practice of disinterested and selfless concern for the well-being of others.

Caring

Caring: The word "care" comes from the Old English word caru.  "It’s confusing to think that we receive something when we give to other people. Those who are less inclined toward being caring toward others have a hard time understanding why caring people do the things they do."
